My love resides in a multitude of things and photography has always been one of them. I’m a multi-passionate person and somehow found myself here. I believe in gaining experiences and that anything worthwhile requires effort. I crave freedom and ingenuity, and I believe it shines through in my work. Welcomer of challenge and new ideas, variety is crucial and I seek what's different.
I'm not someone who just shows up and shoots - I'm here for the conversation + connection, to photograph your love, hugs, and big wins. To cherish your tears and gratitude, and to honor the present. To dig a little deeper and leave work behind that just might make you feel something. To inspire you and comfort you, to be nostalgic and create conversation.
My approach is a combination of natural direction and observation. I mix in movement prompts with editorial/artistic portraits because there's multiple ways to tell your story. My goal is to have things be as candid as possible - body language, facial expressions. I provide direction when it’s needed, but more so I try to invoke specific reactions or situations with conversation, questions, and different prompts.
When it comes to editing style, I strive for rich, deep, true to life color - as if you could step inside and be there. Slightly moody with rich tones, dark blacks, and inspired by film. I love bold black and whites that have a bit of grit + grain. While crisp, tack sharp images are a huge priority, I often throw in the blurry or “missed” shots for the sole fact that they still have some emotion to them, even if they aren’t technically perfect.
I thrive off of my interactions + conversations with others and getting to know my clients on a deeper level directly reflects the way I photograph them.
Lover of love, endless converstaion, and grand views that make you feel small.
Avid explorer + all things outdoors. I've got a thing for pine trees and skylines, old architecture and seeing nothing for miles. I'm inspired by good light and reality, couples that believe they are a team and people that chase their passions. I’m hellbent on achieving my goals and creating a life I’ve always dreamed of. Life’s too long to not do something with it.
