Downtown Milwaukee Wedding - Ben + Trina

Ben + Trina

Married at the Gesu

I officially started my summer wedding season this past weekend celebrating Ben + Trina romping all around Milwaukee with their family + friends and I couldn’t have imagined a better way to kick things off. Initially I was nervous for the weather since it’s been nothing but rain + clouds and we wanted to shoot at a several locations around downtown, but Saturday sure delivered. We had sunny skies and a little bit of wind that put everyone in a extra great mood.

A little different than most, Ben + Trina planned their day in two parts. They wanted to be able to do their own thing, have time for photos, stop at Kopp’s for burgers + ice cream, and end the night dancing.  We started the day getting ready at the Iron Horse only to head to Church of the Gesu for a mid morning ceremony. Afterwards, we walked into the Marquette campus for photos at the Joan of Arc Chapel, hopped on a shuttle and hit the third ward for a photo pit stop, and ended the morning at the Milwaukee Art Museum. We parted ways for a few hours - they got lunch + ice cream at Kopp’s and I prepped for the reception. Everyone gathered at the Polish Center for dinner + drinks, kind words + stories, all the chocolate cake and dance circles.

When I first met Ben + Trina I knew that we’d be a good fit. Focusing on their time and how it was spent, they made sure to plan a day that wasn’t rushed so they could enjoy it, to savor the time with others and the experience that is a wedding day. I truly think they succeeded.

I present you, Mr. + Mrs. Basta.

Can’t wait to see what else 2019 has in store for me!

All my love,
